The Wrestler is a heart-wrenching psychological-action film that tells the story of a romance between a professional wrestler and a seasoned stripper, which won the Golden Lion for Best Picture at the Venice International Film Festival in 2008. A tender moment unfolds in The Wrestler, as Randy "The Ram" Robinson (Mickey Rourke), a skilled wrestler, suffers a heart attack during a small match, prompting his doctor to warn him that he will die if he continues to compete. In an effort to start a new life, Robinson takes on a job at a local diner and strikes up a friendship with Cassidy (Marisa Tomei), an aging stripper. Love blossoms between the two, and Robinson dreams of a future happiness with his newfound love, as well as reconnecting with his long-lost daughter Stephanie (Evan Rachel Wood).
